Two scripts, engraved by hand
Arabic calligraphy covers the whole 40 cm stem of the Shika Legend shisha pipe. Flowing Thuluth runs through the middle and angular Kufic sets the foot, all cut by hand into 1.7 kg of solid brass. It comes as a full set on the Cairo Bell base.
Why this one
- Thuluth above, Kufic below Two scripts, two characters. The curves sit in the middle of the stem, the angular script sets the foot.
- 1.7 kg of brass The stem alone, before the 0.8 kg tray and the heavy Egyptian base.
- Two boxes, so brass never touches glass The glass base and the bowl travel in one box. The engraved stem and its accessories travel in the other. We pack every Khalil Mamoon the same way. Nothing rubs in transit.
- Handmade in Egypt The stem is engraved by hand and the base is made by hand. No two are the same.
Handmade: what to expect
Every Shika is made by hand in Egypt. Expect small differences from the photos:
- Fine scratches, marks and tool lines in the brass
- Small lines, bubbles or tiny chips in the glass base and the clay bowl
- The engraving and the tone of the brass vary piece to piece
- Hose colours vary. Yours may not be the colour in the photos
These come from the handmade process. They are not faults and do not affect how it works.

Questions
What comes with the Shika Legend?
The full set: the brass stem, the tray, the Cairo Bell base, a Sinai Tradi washable hose, an Oblivion clay bowl, the grommets and a base protector. Charcoal and a heat management device are sold separately.
How tall is the Shika Legend?
The brass stem alone is 40 cm. The glass base under it and the bowl on top make the full shisha taller than that.
Is the Shika Legend heavier than a Khalil Mamoon?
Yes. Shika builds heavier than Khalil Mamoon, in the supplier's own words, and the Legend stem alone weighs 1.7 kg before the tray and the base.
Which base does it use, and can I change it?
It comes on the Cairo Bell, the heavy Egyptian bell base. The Cairo Bell is the spare. The Nile clear tear drop and the Genie coloured base are the upgrades, both sold separately.
Legend or Valen?
Both carry Kufic script and weigh 1.7 kg. The Legend is 40 cm and covered in calligraphy. The Valen is 38 cm with a wide chambered body and octagonal steps.
How is it packed?
In two boxes. The glass base and the bowl in one, the stem and accessories in the other, so nothing rubs in transit.
