Fit & Compatibility

The Ayara Large adapter fits most standard hookahs. The key requirements are: a downstem (immersion tube) diameter of 8–16 mm, a base neck opening of at least 36 mm, and the ability to remove your existing diffuser. If your diffuser is non-removable, ensure it clears inside the adapter's 35 mm internal depth. This is not needed on Kaloud Krysalis hookahs, which have Ayara filtration built in.

How to Use It

• Remove your hookah's existing diffuser if fitted — the Ayara replaces it
• Wet the silicone seal on the adapter, then slide it onto your downstem firmly but slowly
• Click a fresh Ayara Large pod into the adapter housing — it snaps in with no tools
• Set water level so the ceramic diffuser sits ~10–12 mm below the waterline
• Smoke as normal — the carbon filters automatically with every draw
• Replace the pod when flavour dulls, a woody note appears, or the draw feels tighter (typically every 30–60 sessions)

Care & Maintenance

• Rinse the adapter under hot water after each session
• Deep clean with mild dish soap and a soft brush periodically — avoid abrasives on the anodised finish
• Dry fully before storing to protect the ceramic diffuser
• Do not rinse or regenerate carbon pods — replace when spent

Does this only work with Kaloud hookahs?

No. The Ayara adapter is designed for any hookah — it was specifically created to bring carbon filtration to non-Kaloud pipes. Just remove your existing diffuser (if fitted) and slide the Ayara onto your downstem. It fits downstems from 8–16 mm diameter.

How do I know when to replace the pod?

Replace the pod when you notice a dulling of flavour, a woody or smokey off-note, or a tighter draw than usual. This typically happens after 30–60 sessions depending on usage.
