Sculpture, in glass. The Forest Trefoil breaks from the typical round-bodied shisha vase with a three-lobed architectural silhouette — a tri-pointed footprint flaring out from a tall central neck. Finished in deep translucent forest green that catches the light differently from every angle. Substantial, distinctive, and pairs cleanly with stems that lean modernist or industrial.

Forest Trefoil Russian Shisha Vase — Sculpted Tri-Lobe Glass, 45mm Russian Fit
Why This Shisha Vase
- Trefoil sculptural silhouette. A three-lobed footprint flaring out from a tall central column — a genuinely architectural break from the round-bodied Russian flare. The shape lowers the centre of gravity for stability while creating three distinct vertical planes that catch light from every angle.
- Deep forest green colour. Translucent rich green-teal tone fused into the glass at the molten stage — not painted, not coated. Reads dark and moody from a distance; reveals deep forest tones when light passes through.
- Smooth pure glass. No etching, no cut work, no frit. The shape is the design. The silhouette does the visual work without competing decoration.
- Russian-standard 45mm neck. Pairs with any standard 45mm base grommet for a compressive seal across modern Russian-spec shisha pipes.
- Substantial wall thickness. The trefoil mould requires denser glass to hold the shape cleanly. Heavy, stable, with the kind of presence that anchors a stem rather than disappears under it.
- Pairs with modernist and industrial stems. Brushed steel, anodised black, gunmetal, gold — the architectural form holds its own next to modern stem finishes. A less natural fit for traditional Egyptian or ornate styles.

Fit & Compatibility
- Designed for: Russian-standard shisha pipes with a 45mm vase neck and grommet seal.
- Pairs cleanly with: Hoob (Mars, Classic, Professional grommet lines), Maklaud, Alpha, Conceptic, Geometry, Union, Japona, VZ, Mattpear, DSH, Soft Smoke, plus modern German and Polish brands using the 45mm grommet standard (Aladin modern, AMY Deluxe Russian-spec, Wookah, Dschinni, Neolux).
- Will not fit: Egyptian threaded stems (Khalil Mamoon, Shika, Sahara), magnetic-lock-only stems (Hoob Atom and similar), proprietary clamp systems (Steamulation Ultimate Gen II), or sealed glass-body designs (Oduman N-series).
- Base grommet not included. Pair with a 45mm shisha base grommet for a clean, airtight seal.
How to Use It
- Insert the grommet: Press your 45mm base grommet flush into the vase neck.
- Wet the seal: Lightly dampen the grommet — it eases the stem in and protects the rubber.
- Seat the stem: Lower with a gentle quarter-turn. The down-spout should sit ~15–20 mm below the water line.
- Fill water: Cover the diffuser/down-port by 10–15 mm. Adjust to taste.
- Pull-test: Block the hose mouthpiece and pull. No bubbles = airtight.
Care & Maintenance
- Rinse with lukewarm water after each session — never hot on cold glass, never cold on warm. Hand-blown coloured glass dislikes thermal shock.
- The trefoil lobes can hold a small amount of water in the corners after rinsing — give the body a gentle tilt-and-shake to clear any pooled water before drying.
- Coloured glass holds water marks slightly more visibly than clear — a quick rinse straight after each session keeps the finish crisp.
- For deeper cleans, use a soft bottle brush with mild detergent or a dilute lemon-and-bicarb soak.
- Dry the neck before re-seating the grommet — trapped moisture squeaks the seal and shortens grommet life.
- Store on a flat, level surface. The wide trefoil footprint is exceptionally stable, but a soft mat under the base prevents knocks during cleaning.
- Avoid alcohol-based cleaners — they can dull glass over time. Citric acid soaks are fine for limescale.
Quick Fixes
- Air leaking on first pull? Re-seat the grommet — uneven insertion is the usual culprit. If it still hisses, try a thicker grommet.
- Stem sitting loose? Grommet's undersized — step up a thickness.
- Stem won't seat fully? Grommet's oversized — step down a thickness.
- Water pooling in the trefoil corners? Tilt the vase 30–45° to each lobe in turn and let gravity do the work — easier than trying to pat-dry the recesses.

FAQ
Will this fit my shisha pipe?
If your stem inserts into the vase via a 45 mm rubber or silicone grommet, the Forest Trefoil is built for that standard. Modern Russian, German, and Polish shisha pipes overwhelmingly use this fit. If your stem screws onto the vase (Egyptian style) or uses a brand-specific magnetic-only or clamp connector, it will not seal here.
Does the trefoil shape affect smoke quality or water behaviour?
No. The internal volume is comparable to a standard Russian flare base — the trefoil shape is purely external. Water level, draw resistance, and filtration behave identically to any other 45 mm Russian-fit vase. The only practical difference is that water may pool slightly more in the lobed corners on rinsing, so give the body a gentle tilt-and-shake to clear it.
Will the forest green colour fade over time?
No. The colour is fused into the glass at the molten stage — not painted, dyed, or coated on the surface. Cleaning, water exposure, and normal session use will not affect the finish. The only risk to coloured glass is thermal shock from sudden temperature shifts, which damages the glass itself rather than the colour.
Will it sit properly on a stem with a wide tray?
Yes. The trefoil base footprint is wider than the diameter of a standard Russian flare, so it actually adds stability under most modern trays rather than reducing it. Centre the stem on the trefoil's vertical axis when seating; the vase will balance evenly across all three lobes.
