The lounge size of the Gen 2 shisha cube
Cerberus Coco Gen 2 26 mm cubes, ten kilograms loose in one sealed liner. The same true 26 mm cube as the 1 kg retail box, without the retail box. Gen 2 is the hotter formula from ShishaDoc in Melbourne: quicker to light, more heat, and it recovers after a run of pulls so the flavour stays full. Made in Indonesia from coconut shell only.
Why this one
- True 26 mm A full 26 mm cube with extra burn time and no extra heat. It stacks flat in a Kaloud style device, sits square in a mesh basket and lies flat on foil.
- Hotter, faster Gen 2 lights quicker on the burner and runs at higher heat than the first formula. Dense bowls and big bowls get the headroom they need.
- Recovers after pulls The coal comes back up to heat between rounds instead of fading, so the session does not go thin halfway through.
- Low ash, high density 2.2 percent ash as printed on the box. Less ash in the tray, airflow stays open, and the cube holds its shape under tongs.

Care
- Keep the liner closed and the carton in a dry place. Coconut charcoal takes in moisture and damp coal cracks on the burner.
- Take out what you need for the night and close the liner again.
- Throw the silica gel sachets away when the box is empty. Never put them on the burner.
- Let spent coal cool fully before you bin it.
Questions
What is a Lounge Box?
Ten kilograms of coal loose in one sealed liner inside a plain carton, the way venues buy it. There are no 1 kg retail boxes inside. Same Gen 2 coal, less packaging.
What is different about Gen 2?
ShishaDoc reformulated the coal for higher heat. Gen 2 lights faster, recovers after a few pulls and leaves less ash, with a denser press that holds together on the burner.
Will they fit my heat management device?
Yes. The box lists direct foil, mesh devices and Kaloud style devices as the intended setups, and 26 mm is the size those devices are built around.
How do I light them?
On an electric or gas charcoal burner only, on medium heat. High heat cracks the coal. Wait until every face glows with a light grey ash, then move them with tongs. Never use lighter fluid and never light them indoors.
Do these run hot?
Yes, hotter than the first Cerberus Coco formula. If you are used to a milder coal, start with one piece fewer than usual and add heat as the bowl settles.
