The AO Laminator is a stainless steel mesh cage that drops over your bowl and HMD to catch falling coals, stray ash, and wind-blown sparks before they reach your floor, carpet, or furniture. At 25 cm tall with an 11 cm inner diameter, it's one of the tallest coal guards available - tall enough to clear Lotus-style HMDs with a molasses catcher underneath. If you smoke indoors, this is the cheapest insurance against burn marks you'll find.

Fit & Compatibility
The Laminator sits on standard hookah charcoal trays and surrounds the bowl. It's compatible with Lotus-style (flat) HMDs and open-top screens. It will not fit around HMDs with tall external handles or chimneys that exceed the ~11 cm inner diameter. For a wider guard option, check the accessories collection.
How to Use
- Set up your bowl with your preferred HMD and lit charcoal as normal
- Place the Laminator mesh guard over the top so it sits on the charcoal tray, surrounding the bowl completely
- Smoke as usual - the mesh allows full airflow while catching any debris
- For extra wind protection outdoors, wrap the outside with aluminium foil
Care & Maintenance
- Let the guard cool fully before touching
- Rinse under warm water or wipe with a damp cloth to remove ash
- Stainless steel can be stored outdoors without rusting, but dry storage extends its life

Will this fit around a Kaloud Lotus?
Yes - the Kaloud Lotus and similar flat-profile HMDs fit comfortably inside the 11 cm diameter. The 25 cm height provides ample clearance above the HMD for coal placement and rotation.
